HER MOTHER’S DAUGHTERS
An older woman stands by a window in an empty house. Her daughters have flown the nest. As she waits for them to call, their memory is brought to life.
HER MOTHERS’ DAUGHTERS explores the relationship between mothers, daughters, memory and imagination.
Commissioned by RTE, the Arts Council of Ireland and Filmbase as part of the RTE Dance-On-The-Box scheme, it screened in Temple Bar in April 2010 and was broadcast on RTE shortly after.

HER MOTHERS DAUGHTERS was selected for DVD by Tenderpixel Gallery in London as part of their experimental film compilation. This DVD was was distributed in the 2011 January edition of Aesthetica Magazine as part of the Aesthetica International Short Film Competition. It was selected for the London ‘Art on the Underground’ programme in 2014 and screened at the BFI and National Theatre in London as part of events to celebrate International Womens’ Day.
